I don't have anything interesting to say about this, I just thought it was a great picture of my saddles on a cool tele with a sparkle black finish. Thanks Joe M! ![]()

I made some cool changes to the design of my jazzmaster bridge last month. First I added a rounded back corner and a shorter spring to the Low E saddle so it can be adjust back further. And I changed the shape of the string grooves for the G-B-E strings from a U shape to a V shape. This keeps the plain strings from possibly shifting side to side if you do any extreme bends. Thanks to Mark B for helping me discover these flaws in the design! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rzzsmBSw7Y&t=60s Most players probably never had a problem with their bridge, but if you did I'll upgrade any bridge bought before November of 2024 with these changes for no charge. Saddles are custom fit to each bridge so you'll have to send me your bridge. I'll just ask you to cover shipping cost.
We have 2 cats. Coco and Bean. Whenever I'm changing guitar strings Coco finds me. At first I thought she was just drawn in by the strings, which she would stare at and occasionally attack. But the other day I was doing a crown and level on a Jazzmaster neck, no strings in sight, and there she was, watching intently, seemingly interested in the work itself. Stay tuned for more updates.
So far the only real complaint I've had about my Jazzmaster bridge is from guys wanting a plated version that looks more like the traditional chrome of the stock bridge. I went with Nickel instead of Chrome. I think it looks a little nicer. They're priced the same as the polished version, which I've discontinued, because polishing these things is such a pain that I felt like I was being punished everytime I sold one...
So far I'm really happy with how these came out and excited to see how everyone likes them! I love the classic look of a blackguard tele, but over the years I’ve become really really specific in what looks good to me. 1. The finish needs to be between gloss and semi gloss 2. Color can’t be too yellow, and should definitely lean slightly towards white, and far from orange. 3. The finish should be mostly opaque. A small amount of wood grain showing through is okay, but must be very subtle. 4. The neck and body should not be too similar in shade. Body should look painted, neck should look more natural. |
